Private Lessons Policies & Procedures

My purpose in creating Bloom Music Studio is to provide people, young and old, with the musical tools to enhance their lives. We value letting the students blossom in their own unique way; while giving them the guidance and structure to succeed. It is our responsibility to make the students feel successful and have fun at every lesson. Music creates a magical bond that brings us all together. Parent, teacher and student are a team working together for the student’s growth. I honor the opportunity to be a teacher by making myself available to my students and their families when feasible. Please feel comfortable contacting me with any questions or comments. Parents know their children best and are helpful in making the learning experience as beneficial as possible. Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s music education.

Pricing

$35 per 30-minute lesson. ($140 per month)

$45 per 45-min ($180 per month)

$60 per hour ($240 per month)

Payment

Payment is done on a monthly basis before lessons are taught. Payment is expected before the first lesson of each month. Payment can be made by check to ‘Bloom Music Studio’ or through Venmo, Zelle, cash, or check.

Missed/Cancelled Lessons

24 hours notice to Ena or Daniel is required for missed lessons or the fee for the lesson stands. When 24 hour notice is given, a make up lesson will be offered. Anytime the teacher cancels a lesson, it is always made up. The teachers also adhere to the 24-hour policy when permitted. Any missed lessons for the next month will need to be reported to Ena or Daniel by the 25th of the month to avoid billing. If you are billed for a lesson you cannot attend, a make up lesson will be made available. Because of the volume of work in billing, we cannot bill twice. There are no refunds for missed lessons. If you need to stop taking lessons, a 10 day notice would be appreciated. There are no refunds or credits for lessons stopped mid-month. Whether you attend these lessons or forfeit them is the clients’ choice. They cannot be credited towards a sibling or other family member.

Consultations and Requirements

Consultations in the studio are free. We require our students to have a practice book (we supply), as well as their books at each lesson. We purchase materials at the first lesson for reimbursement. We are attempting to instill responsibility in the students by having them be responsible for their materials on a weekly basis.

Make Up Lessons

Make up lessons will be available for 30 days after the lesson is missed. You need to contact your teacher to schedule.

Scheduling

We understand that your child(ren) are also involved in other activities and we will always accommodate your schedule as much as possible in regards to consideration for other clients. If you need a time or day schedule change, please go to our lesson change page to request a new date and time. If you are able, we ask that you allow up to 30 days for this change so that I may ask and give notice to the other families involved. Payment is still required for less than 30 days notice. I will work with you to get those lessons scheduled at your convenience for the period while we are working for a new day and time for your future lessons. We choose to teach music as our passion for the art runs deep. This choice comes with sacrifices that many are not aware, but we educators accept because sharing music is so important to us. We do not get paid time off of any kind. None for vacation, sickness, or personal time. During holidays, we lose our pay and have to be prepared to adjust. It is because of the reasons that we have these policies. There has to be a balance of fairness for both client and educator. Thank you for understanding and supporting art education.
